The “institutional mandate” of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) in light of the regulatory provisions that have defined its tasks, programs and functions, can be identified, in a nutshell, in the promotion and implementation of the country’s infrastructure policies, as well as policies to increase efficiency, strengthen and improve the levels and conditions of safety of transport systems.
